[It's just a kitchen knife! It's one of her mom's and her mom's set is pretty nice but still she looks really pale and kind of nervous.]

[He puts it down and reaches into his coat pocket. He keeps a Swiss army knife on himself and he pulls that out.] Here. Help me sterilize this.

It's not like I had anything else. Besides, my mom cuts herself with them all the time...

One time I almost chopped off a finger with them anyway. They're kind of dangerous to have around in my house, actually...

[Oh jesus this never occurred to her.]

Yeah I know. [He sighs and will go sterilize his knife and when that's done he'll say they should go to the bathroom so they can wash any blood that gets on the floor easily.]

[She will actually help him. She's honestly kind of babbling because if she wasn't she'd be freaking out. More. Freaking out more.]

[He pats her shoulder wordlessly and pulls a first aid kit out of his backpack when they enter the bathroom. He doesn't usually lug it around but it's something he has in his room thanks to the doctor he lives across from. He gives her a nod that he's ready.

Then he sheds his jacket and tosses it off to the side and rolls up one of his sleeves, motioning for her to sit on the toilet so she doesn't pass out freaking out like that.]

[She will sit but she gives him a look.]

If it does work, don't make fun of me. It's weird. It fixes clothes.

[SHE'S SO STUCK ON THAT. Now please hand over the knife because she wants to get this over with omg.]

[He sighs. And doesn't hand over the knife.]

How does your healing thing work? [He wraps his own hand around the blade instead.]

It's like a spell. It's really dumb. I think--if I say it and want it to work, it just... fixes stuff. There's wind and that's it...

If you want me to be ready it's never going to happen. I don't have the highest tolerance for pain. Here. [She's still holding out her hand for the knife because the last thing she wants is accidentally stabbed.]

... You're not cutting yourself Anais what do you mean you don't have a high tolerance for pain.

[SIGH. He frowns.]

I'll do it. I'll cut my hand. If you don't like blood or pain I don't see how you'll be able to heal anything effectively.

Not happening. I don't care if Marina ends up with weird side effects, but you already got hit by a car for me, and you showed up in the middle of a snow storm when I was freaking out.

Let me do this. If I do it wrong, I'd rather be the one getting hurt.

If you do it wrong and you're hurt, your mom's going to freak out too.

Look. I trust you. You came to me for moral support but I think you need a little more than that, but I'm trusting you to fix me up.

[He holds out the knife to her, handle first.]

Do it quickly. If you take your time you'll scare yourself.

I'm already scared. Look over there. [He's making her nervous.]`

[He sighs and nods and turns the way she told him to look.]

[She takes a deep breath when he turns away and makes a kind of squeaky noise. Pain of any sort kind of makes her head rush cold and the blood makes her vision go fuzzy for just a second.]

[He counts to three.]

All right to turn around yet?

Um. Still bleeding. I'm good. I will be okay. Just. One second. [No her voice does not sound squeaky.]
